Coral Snake Victim Needs Help
My son Jeffrey was bitten by a Coral Snake in his yard. Coral Snakes are the most venomous snakes we have in the United States. The bite causes severe neurological damage. He has been in Intensive Care for several days and is on a ventilator fighting for his life. The snake bite has damaged his vision and he has become paralyzed. Due to the fact he did not receive the antivenom promptly it has caused many neurological problems. It should have been administered within the first 4-6 hours but he didn’t receive it until approximately 40 hours past the bite. He is still very sick and still in the Intensive Care Unit and could remain for a few more weeks. He will then need extensive physical therapy to learn how to walk, eat, write and all other every day activities. Jeffrey currently has no medical insurance or any financial means to pay for medical bills. This is going to be a long slow recovery for Jeffrey and his Fiancé Angela to deal with. They currently have a total of six children under the age of ten between the two of them. We are asking for prayers and any financial support to help their family during this tragedy. Thank you and god bless+ Read More
Would like to say thank you again for everyone’s support for Jeffrey and our family. This has definitely been an eye opener this entire month. . He is making improvements everyday and has been moved to a swing bed facility and receiving both occupational therapy and physical therapy every day. The drs are still uncertain on how long therapy will be needed. We appreciate your prayers and support. Thank you and god bless each of you. The most important lesson I pray everyone will learn from our ordeal is to please teach your children.. no matter what age they are... the importance of not picking up a snake and be on alert to not step on one. A lesson taught should be a lesson learned!!
Thank you for all the prayers and support. My son is making small improvements everyday. We are grateful that he is alive. He is off the ventilator and the feeding tube. He will be moving to a regular room and then will be transferred to inpatient rehab facilities for extensive long term rehab to relearn everything. They don’t know how long that will take. We appreciate all the wonderful prayers and support from everyone. Thank you and god bless each of you.
Thank you for everyone’s prayers and donations. We appreciate your help. A kind word of encouragement or a meal or any other support has been very helpful in helping us deal with this. Jeffrey has finally gotten off the ventilator and they was able to remove the feeding tube yesterday. He still has difficulty moving his body. He is still in icu. Thank you again for everyone’s support and gods love. Without his healing powers my son would not still be here with us.
Thanks everyone for sharing and donations. We have our account set up at regions banks. You can make donations using Jeffrey Phillips, Angela Patrick or Judy Kell. Thank you. Please keep us in your prayers. Jeffrey had a rough night and we pray everyday to see any small improvements.
