Thankfully, because of the amazing work of paramedics, doctors, surgeons and nurses, Laura has now begun her road to recovery. She has undergone surgery to her spine at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and shortly will be transferred to a specialist spinal unit in Sheffield, 160 miles away from home, so that she can deservedly receive the best possible treatment towards life changing injuries.
Laura is surrounded by a loving family and community of friends so, in the face of the selfish acts undertaken by the few, this page has been set up so that the selfless acts of the many others visiting this page can go towards supporting Laura in any way possible, including by ensuring that her family and closest friends can be with her as much as possible during her recovery away from home.
Budget accommodation in Sheffield is around £45 a night so even the smallest of donations will clearly go towards making a big difference to this amazing young lady's recovery!
Come on Laura we are all rooting for you!!
Laura is now home for good. She has been discharged from The Marbrook Centre. She have a long way to go ahead and she's very determined to do it. For people who keep asking, she still have no feelings from chest down to legs. Her injuries level is still unchanged. She is getting stronger everyday and she is a very strong young lady to go through it all. I'm very proud. Please keep sharing and donate what you can to help this beautiful young lady for her future. Thank you x
Laura is allowed to go home on weekends to be with her family but during the week, she stays at St Neots. She will be having an operation tomorrow for her bowel etc as they all had decided it's the best option for her to have before she goes home for good. She will be going home for good in June. She has made a lot of good progress so far. Her arms are getting a lot of strength but her injuries are still the same. No feelings from her chest down to her legs. She still can't walk. She's in a wheelchair. She's a very positive and determined young lady. She always has a smile on her face. Will let you all know how the operation went etc when tomorrow is over. Thank you so much to everyone who had donated to the fund for Laura. It means so much to her, her family, friends and me. She have a strong family and friends to support her during this time. Please keep sharing and donate what you can. Thank you x
