For Lisa

First of all thank you very much to anybody taking the time to view our page,

Where do we start, Lisa is the most amazing Daughter, Wife, Mum, Sister, Aunt, Mother-in-law, Nanna and friend you could ever ask for. She has helped so many people around her with her constant kindness and selflessness, now we are finding ourselves in the most awful situation it is our turn to do all we can to help.

Lisa was originally diagnosed in June 2016 with Triple Negative breast cancer which is a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She began chemotherapy which unfortunately did not shrink the tumours however, she went on to have surgery along with radiotherapy and successfully completed treatment in January 2017. Watching Lisa ring that bell after the hard fight she had was the best day of our lives.

Lisa has been cancer free up until February this year, after feeling unwell she went back to her doctors and discovered that the cancer had unfortunately come back, spreading to both lungs, 3 tumours and multiple smaller ones. Although such terrible news she has remained so strong and positive like the warrior she is!! She wants to do everything she can to fight and be here for her family; a loving husband, parents, 3 sons and granddaughter.

At the young age of 49 she still has so much life to live!

Whilst undergoing chemotherapy Lisa began to develop symptoms such as headaches, sickness and severed blurred vision. After further testing it was discovered Lisa now has tumours in her brain. As if that wasn't enough it has also spread and she is now diagnosed with Leptomeningeal Metastases, which at this current time has a very poor prognosis.

Lisa is currently undergoing a 5 day course of whole brain radiation and will resume chemotherapy as soon as possible although extremely appreciative and grateful for the treatment being offered we are aware of better options in private healthcare.

Right now we are hoping to raise as much as we can with the support of all of you amazing people. The money will get Lisa the genomic testing and immunotherapy treatment she needs that unfortunately due to the current pandemic is unavailable without the utilization of private care. This will also open up opportunity for Lisa to take part in clinical trials and have THE BEST possible options available to her. The funding will also allow for Lisa to gain treatment further afield if and when it is safe to do so. It is really important we keep Lisa around as long as possible new treatment options will then be available to us to help prolong and possibly save her life.

On top of this extremely difficult time, the pandemic we find ourselves in has robbed the quality time that her loved ones need and want to be spending with her, making it more important for us to do everything we can to give Lisa THE BEST chance to be here for as long as possible.
Any donations that are made is appreciated more than anyone could ever imagine.   Please if you are not in a position where you can afford to donate share, share, SHARE, Please join the fight for Lisa's life.
