Last Spring, 7 Earth Protectors came together to save an ancient oak that was under threat of felling by HS2.

They sat and sang under the tree, and the consequence of such outrageous behaviour was an arrest and time held in police custody.

The tree stood for another few months after the action, however, due to HS2's callous attitude, she was eventually killed.

Now, the 7 sisters are due to stand in court in Milton Keyens. Due to the pandemic and lockdown restrictions, we are in need of accommodation that allows us all to stay near the court room for the duration of the trial. Due to the number of defendants, the trial is over 4 days. Despite asking for a remote hearing due to the dangers of travelling and mixing, the court are demanding we stand in person. As you can imagine this will be considerably expensive for each of us.

We are all full time activists, so we are asking to fundraise a portion of our accommodation costs in order to be able to go to court.

Any funds we raise over the cost of the accommodation and travel to court will be spent on future actions trying to prevent ecocide.

If you are able to, help is get to court and be as safe as possible...

much love and courage,
