Edinburgh Food Project Appeal

2020 has been a year of uncertainty, worry and stress for many people, with COVID having an impact on everyone’s day-to-day lives. For hundreds of people in Edinburgh it has meant accessing a foodbank centre for the first time.

Throughout April 2020 - October 2020 the 7 food banks ran by Edinburgh Food Project provided 2,030 family parcels (up by 50%) and 4,994 parcels for singles/couples (up by 44%). That number is absolutely staggering and this can only be achieved through the generosity of others.

With a second lockdown looming, they are now preparing for Christmas which they’re expecting to be the busiest one ever.

Sooooo I’m trying to raise at least £60 which is the average U.K. weekly shop amount, to go to a supermarket to fetch items from their “Urgent Items” list and drop off to their warehouse.

I’m hoping we can all come together and help those local who are struggling this Christmas. Please donate if you can, even if it’s £1!! It’ll go a long way.

Or if anyone doesn’t feel comfortable donating but would still like to take part and drop items off, please message me and I can send you the urgent items list and give you my address to drop off.

Lots of love,

Bethany x
