Undoubtedly, this has been a difficult time for everyone and we are all trying to do our bit to help the NHS and Keyworkers.
We would also like to show our appreciation and say thank you to our amazing Headteacher and ALL keyworkers at Church Langley Community Primary School!
I hope you all agree - It's not easy being a teacher/keyworker and I think we are all finding this out for ourselves, whilst doing our best to 'home school' our own little ones, seeing exactly how much effort goes into it, knowing we should never take them for granted again!
They are our Superheroes!
Throughout all of this, they have continued to work hard, supporting keyworker children in school, whilst supporting everyone at home, reassuring us and helping us when we have needed it, nothing is too much! But more importantly - encouraging our children with ‘home learning’, by sending them weekly, thoughtful, letters (bringing tears to our eyes), and curating fun activities to help bring them together even when far apart!
I know for them and I'm sure they will say - ''it's just our job'', but we would like to show our teachers, LSA’s, office staff, as well as our mid-day assistants, school cooks and caretakers, we are thinking of them, by asking the children to take part in a challenge, to help raise money - whilst staying safe at home!
The fun part - The Challenge!
Children are being asked to wear school uniform (if possible), or something green/yellow, for one whole - school hour day (of your choice, but preferably during lockdown), to show support and let them know we are thinking of them!
How you can help further!
Not only would it be great to show support, by wearing school colours for one day, but any donations would be truly appreciated and with your help, the money could be put towards something for them, maybe an event or whatever they feel would be beneficial.
CL keyworkers have not in the slightest been apart of any of this and I know this wouldn't be expected, but together we could make this happen, and I would hope it would be greatly received and bring smiles all round.
Things to remember!
When taking part in the challenge, please make sure to save some evidence and maybe a thank you note! However, if posting on social media - please HIDE the school logo! (Safety!).
A little extra!
We will try and put together a thank you card with all the children who took part and who has kindly donated!
Please get in touch, if you have any questions or ideas!
Thank you for all your support!
Continue to stay safe. X
