Markie Thomas-Burke & Dolly Smith

On Saturday,  August 26th, at 9:19 PM Dolly Smith and two other family members were fatally injured, falling victim to a vehicular hit and run near East Beardsley Avenue and Cassopolis Street in Elkhart, IN.

Dolly was born on December 16, 2016. She was always a happy baby, bringing joy and love to everyone she touched.

Although she was in her car seat and stroller, it was not enough to protect her from suffering severe head injuries. After the accident, Dolly was flown to Comer Children's Hospital in Chicago, IL. There, some of the finest doctors in the country cared for her. Sadly, on Sunday, August 27th, she succumb to her injuries and passed away.

This GoFundMe is specifically for her single mother, Markie Thomas-Burke. These funds will allow her to cover any unforeseen challenges and expenses and to allow her the time she needs to mourn the loss of her beautiful daughter.
