'A girl that had all the fillings in one sandwich'
Ellice Murray tragically and suddenly lost her life whilst kayaking with her family on the River Tweed on 22nd March 2021.
Ellice had a great sense of humour and a personality as big as her heart. Having fought many challenges in her life, Elle had finally found her way. She was the happiest she had ever been and was excited to be starting college and studying horticulture in the autumn. Elle was a lover of the outdoors and was passionate about our environment. At 15 years old, she was a modern woman in the making. Elle stood for equality and spoke from the heart, rarely sugar coating how she felt.
Elle's death has shocked and saddened our whole town with many keen to support Kirstin, Fraser, Noa and Ben in any way possible. They have been a huge part of our community for a long time, offering support and sanctuary within their cafe to all who visited. Now, it's our turn to give back. This page is for anyone who wishes to support the family and also help towards a memorial for the much loved Ellice Murray.
