Help build a school for Late Mrs Mir and Mr Ashraf

‎إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

The eyes are still shedding tears and the hearts are still grieved and pounding, and yet, we will not say anything except what pleases our Lord. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

Dearest Friends and Family,

We are Naheeda and Hajra, two friends who have sadly lost our parents, Shamim Mir aged 59 from Birmingham and Mohammed Ashraf aged 87 from London to COVID 19. As daughters we held their hands as they tragically took their last breaths on the same day Wednesday the 13th of January 2021. We take solace in that they have both died as martyrs during this plague.

We thank you all for your prayers during this difficult time but now we ask for your help. We want to focus on their legacy, not just through their children or the work they did on Earth. We are raising money to build a school in rural Pakistan inshAllah as a form of Sadaqah Jariah. If we do not reach our goal we will aim to cover the rest ourselves. If we exceed our goal we will donate this towards the maintenance of existing schools.

Message from Naheeda:
Those that met my mother remember her for her smile and her infectious laugh. Anyone who knew her personally saw how much she loved children. Despite her best efforts she only had one child. She spent her life spoiling her nieces, nephews and many others! She doted on her daughter and pushed her to fulfil her potential. She worked as a secondary school teacher and loved to inspire. Without fail she donated to children charities monthly. After a period of illness the arrival of her granddaughter brought her a new lease of life. She would be so proud to have a school built in her honour. Dont look back mum, may you always look forward. Wherever you are I hope you are smiling.

Message from Hajra:
My father was the most wonderful man. I am so proud to be his daughter and blessed for the time I had with him. He was kind, generous, funny and so cute MashAllah! He loved education and always pushed me to be better, study harder and gain as much knowledge as possible. I know he would be so happy to know a school is being built in his name InshAllah. Daddy I will be the best person I can be, I will make you proud and be kind to everyone in the hope that one day when my time comes Allah SWT allows me to see you again. Ameen xx

May Allah have Rahma on them both, forgive their shortcomings and expand and illuminate their graves. May the angels be their best friends. Ameen.
