HMP Stocken and Black Conscious Coventry

I am a long serving prisoner from HMP Stocken, I am very passionate about raising an awareness  in the prison of the contributions that  Black Britons have made to British Society.

I will perform 8460 bodyweight exercises to remind us of the time it took for George Floyd to die. The passing of his life in the public domain represents the injustice I and many black people have endured for generations.

I would like to create an alliance at HMP Stocken prison to enable open discussions, self-education and positive action that brings about equality.

Black people have long and proud history in this country that inmates, guards and the wider society need to be educated on.

The funds from this event will reduce racial tension and build confidence and self esteem.

I’m happy to say that HMP Stocken and Black Conscious Coventry have come together to support my vision.  Collectively we will provide education programs on Black British contributions, history and creating strategies to develop a positive future for Black British communities both inside and outside of prison.

I will be completing this on Friday 21st August.

BCC asks for your financial support so we can fulfil our goals in ultimately realising the great potential in our community.
