Jack Attack - JT is back!

On the 2nd September 2020 I collapsed while working out at my local gym. I was rushed to Nobles Hospital where they discovered I had an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), a rare brain abnormality that had caused a hemorrhage.

Nobles did an amazing job at reacting to the situation and immediately organised for me to be flown to Walton Hospital in the U.K. Within a matter of hours after collapsing, the Coast Guard flew me to Walton where I received pioneering and life-saving brain surgery.

With thanks to the surgeons and hospital staff I made it through the surgery, however it has been and will continue to be a lengthy ride back to any form of normality. Since gaining consciousness, I have been on a journey to re-learn how to move pretty much every muscle, walk and talk all over again and will also need a number of other surgeries later down the line.

I am beyond grateful to still be here today, to have made the progress that I have made to date and for the progress that I know that I will continue to make. I can't thank everyone who has played a part in this enough but feel as though I need to do something to make a start...

So, I am looking to carry out some fundraising for the following organisations to give something back:

1. Nobles Hospital for responding to the situation in that critical early stage
2. The Coast Guard for getting me over to the U.K. within a matter of hours of it all happening
3. Walton Hospital/Rehabilitation Centre for getting me to where I am today

As I said earlier, I have had to completely learn all movement again from scratch but with hard work, determination and the help of the therapists I am getting there. So to start the fundraising off, I will be challenging myself to carry out a sequence of exercises... These will be: 5 sit ups, 5 press ups, 10 squats and 10 step ups. This is probably something I could have done without even working up a sweat before the 2nd September but to achieve this goal now, I will have to work non-stop with the physio-therapists over the the next 3 weeks.

I would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring me to help me to achieve my goal of raising £3000 for the above charities as a thank you to all the people that have helped in not only saving my life but also helping me get it back. Absolutely anything would be appreciated!
