*note: any amounts over what we need for the bench & tree will be either used toward funeral and/or donated to either Kings College Hospital Charity and/or animal shelters
We lost the light of love in our lives on Wednesday 3rd March.
After battling for 7 weeks on a ventilator, our mum, our Helen passed on.
This has been a particularly hard pill to swallow, as Helen is the 5th member of our family (of her siblings and mother) who has been hospitalised from this virus, x2 brothers at the same time last year, and this time round x2 sisters and their mother) and Helen is the 2nd of the 5 to pass away. We lost her bother Marios last year also, which devastated her terribly.
Helen was a very special person, she was so kind, and loved nature.
She respected all living beings from a very young age, and she looked after all the squirrels, stray animals, foxes, and birds by feeding them every single day, or nursing them better when injured or sick, or taking them to wildlife experts to help them survive. Everyone knew to call on my mum if they found an animal or bird in need.
So we thought the most fitting memorial for her would be a bench and a plum blossom tree, where we can scatter her ashes, and so we can be with nature when we visit her.
So, if you want to contribute to her funeral or memorial in any way, this would be the best
We don’t want flowers, as we have ordered for the car and her coffin already, and a donation to her bench & tree, would be a more beneficial, and longer lasting tribute to her memory.
any amount is welcomed and appreciated
