Hello my name is Nita Losinska and I am a 43 year old proud transgender woman.
My life has been full of some very complicated twists and turns, but I have made it this far despite the bumps, obstacles and 40 odd years of dysphoria. At the end of July 2019 the dysphoria got the better of me and the need to transition became a huge priority. Surviving for that long and never really living a full life was just so exhausting.
Since the age of 3 I knew there was something different about me, but it wasn't till I was 5 that I knew what was wrong. But I was too afraid of the judgment and embarrassment to say anything. I tried many times over the years to come out and ask for help, but I was just too afraid. So I decided to live with the constant sadness. Day's could have been full of excitement and joy, but the constant sadness never left. Reluctantly I say that I tried to take my own life and that those thoughts were a constant feature of my daily life. I really regret not having the courage to transition earlier.
After my breakdown in July, in August 2019 with the help of my awesome sister I went and got a private diagnosis for gender dysphoria. After this I was able to go private to start my medical transition and to go to my GP to be referred to the NHS GIC, but the waiting times get longer everyday.
I know these are strange times and my needs are big. But since opening the door to my happiness, I am still held back by my dysphoria and how I am physically. As the waiting times for the GIC get ever longer I find my need for surgery grows. I am planning to get GCS (gender confirmation surgery) and FFS (facial feminisation surgery). There is also the treatments that will be needed before GCS. All of these add up and I just cant afford these on my own. I have tried soo many times to start putting money away, but life just just keeps getting in the way and my needs just keep getting pushed further and further away.
These procedures would totally transform my life and would finally align my outside to how I feel on the inside. I would be very grateful for any help you would be able to give.
Thank you all for taking time to read this, any donations would be really appreciated'
