North Berwick Christmas Lights

The Community Council Christmas Lights Committee is fundraising for money to buy new Christmas Lights for the town as well as repair existing lights. During the recent bad weather, you may have noticed that the tree at the bottom of the Lodge Grounds on the corner of Kirk Ports has been badly damaged. This tree will require extensive replacement to it's lights. There are a number of other trees in the town which have been fitted out with Christmas Lights and which also require replacement. We received quotes for replacement of lights prior to the damage to the tree in the Lodge and our repair bill was just short of £10k. This is likely to rise once the damage to the Lodge tree is re quoted for. If possible, the Christmas Lights Committee would also like to light up a smaller tree else where in the town. The Christmas Lights in the town are funded entirely by donations and grants. We are setting up this page to try and encourage people to donate early to the lights or to arrange fundraising challenges in aid of the lights. All donations of over £10 are encouraged to note the name of someone special to you with a connection to North Berwick. These names will be added to the book of remembrance which we are creating and which will be displayed later in the year once the lights have been turned on.

Many thanks to everyone who donates to this cause.
