Caitlins Cancer Fund

Hey, so I'm Caitlin Buckley and I never thought I'd be writing something like this in my life to be honest. On 8th March, the day before my 25th birthday I was rushed to A&E drifting in and out of consciousness and then died in the waiting room. I spent the next 6 weeks in a coma, had emergency chemotherapy and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of blood cancer called Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

I definitely wasn't prepared for this mentally or financially, I basically just woke up and had to adjust. And even though everyone around me has been amazing and supportive, it's been a real struggle to get all of the things I needed to manage my health condition and make sure I don't ever end up as sick as I was. Cancer is crazy expensive!! So I've created this go fund me because people are nice, and so many have asked how they can help. Mainly it'll help cover getting to and from hospital appointments, maintaining a healthy safe environment for me to live in and keeping me fed (god damn this chemo diet, I miss sushi).

As well as struggling with money, I'm also feeling really lonely, so do feel free to reach out on my social media and have a chat, I don't bite! At the moment I'm trying to spend my time where I'm unable to work actively raising awareness on Leukaemia and documenting my journey on YouTube in the hope it helps someone like me at some point.
