Munashe had the ability to light up any room with his infectious laugh and infamous smile. A Ferocious force on the rugby pitch, but a gentle giant off of it. Munashe dedicated a lot of time at University serving the rugby club and was a major factor in it's growth, inclusivity and development over the years.
As a rugby club, we are raising funds to go towards flowers for Munashe's funeral and are currently exploring the possibility of a framed shirt to put up in the Pavilion at the University of Kent's sports grounds. All excess funds will be given to Munashe's family to donate to a charity of their choice.
It really is hard to put into words the type of man Munashe was and the effect he left on the people who were lucky enough to meet him. Although we may not have had the chance to say goodbye with his sudden passing, we will forever be grateful for the memories he has gifted us with.
"God looked around his garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone…
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home."
