People of Droylsden (or anywhere else) . Please ,please if are able - help us to give an elderly , disabled man named George some of his life back.
I use the name ‘George’ because this lovely man is naturally nervous of his name going public after the unspeakable terrors he recently endured in his own home. His true identity can be given by his carers or care agency if need be. This week - George, who is disabled and completely bed ridden , was woken up to the sound of 3 males wearing balaclavas breaking into his own home. George is completely alone. These three beasts terrorised and threatened George - who was completely defenceless in his own house . HIS OWN HOUSE. He begged them not to hurt him . Imagine that. A man who once played football and went to the pub and looked after his wife and worked all his life .. now lying helpless in his own bed , begging three horrific sub-human beings not to hurt him. If that isn’t enough to bring tears to your eyes - they told George that they would not harm him, just as long as ‘he gave them everything he’s got’. And so this terrified and lonely older gentleman gave these RATS everything he has. His iPad , ( which being bed ridden is so important to him) , plus other personal effects and a large undisclosed amount of money . No - George shouldn’t keep cash like that at home - but like many older people - he did this thinking it was a safe place and felt good knowing that he knew exactly where it was . The brutality and cruelty of this robbery , I’m sure you’ll agree - is nothing short of heartbreaking. Having to beg three masked men not to hurt you - because you are alone and Completely defenceless. And then they take your money and much needed possessions , leaving him terrified in bed. I would like to a) get George his iPad back . And b) replace his stolen money . Which - henceforth- George will NOT be hoarding at home . The people who did this to an elderly and defenceless man need to suffer for what they’ve done . Whilst this is very much being dealt with by the police - I’m asking all caring citizens of Droylsden and beyond to please contribute to giving George his life , and some dignity back . I know times are very hard right now - but we need to look after the vulnerable in more ways than one . Please please give anything you can - even if it is just 20p . It all adds up and this poor , terrified man deserves his property and money back . And some of his dignity . To have to beg three masked men not to hurt you in your own home when you are alone and bedridden - well the thought of it is just too gut wrenching to get one’s head around .
Please please help me to put a smile back on George’s face and please , hard as times are - think about what this sweet older man has endured and help me to give back the things he lost in such a violent and brutally executed robbery .
The poor man is terrified still . My aim is a new iPad and that would be bought from the £750. Leaving George with some money to put back into his bank where it will be safe
please do try and give what you can . As I say - I know times are hard - but a lot can be achieved by small amounts being given by everybody . Any surplus money over target will still be given to George to help him get over the terrible upset this has caused him. UPDATE: THANK YOU ALL so much for opening your hearts , purses and wallets to help this man. A man that you will most likely never meet . I’m completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity I have seen over the last 24hrs. You are all truly amazing . Every single one of you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
