Mundora Cambodia Mission 2021- 2023

Our vision for Cambodia
We want to open a healing house & sanctuary for women and children who have been exploited and trafficked. It will be both a school and a refuge. We want to use the performing arts to bring healing and hope to communities. We want to offer dance, music & art classes to anyone in the community who wants it, as well as counselling & healing sessions. We want to house people who have escaped trafficking and support them getting the help they need.

It’s a big dream and definitely not one that can be achieved in one day!

But in June 2021, Kudzai and I (Liz) are taking the first step and moving moving our family to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

I will be working as a missionary teacher at a primary school, supporting the families of missionaries already doing wonderful work in Siem Reap.

Kudzai will be working in the local community and using his previous experience as a youth worker and football coach. He also wants to start laying the foundations for the Healing House.

The Covid-19 pandemic has put so many unanticipated obstacles & expenses in the way (a 14 day quarantine and a 25hr flight are just a few!), so we need your giving support!  Nothing is too small, as they say. Any amount you can give will be a massive blessing to us.

We also need ongoing monthly financial support as Liz will not be receiving a wage for her teaching. She will get a small living allowance to support the family, but we are really believing God for people to stand with us financially on a monthly basis.

Prayer! None of this can happen without prayer. If you feel you can commit to praying for us on a regular basis please do let us know.

So many people have asked us, “Why?”.
“Why Cambodia?”.
“Why now (especially during a global pandemic)?”.
“Why leave everything behind and go into the unknown?”.
The answer for us is simple...God is calling us to go.

God has been calling us to Cambodia long before we met, let alone married!

Kudzai first dreamt of Cambodia in 2001 and Liz had a similar dream in 2009. We both saw women and children shackled, caged and imprisoned, only released for the pleasure & enjoyment of paying customers.

God spoke to us both from Isaiah 61:1:

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners”.

Little did we know that Cambodia has one of the highest rates of child prostitution and human trafficking in the world.

We have both carried this burden in our hearts for many years, and the coronavirus pandemic has only made it heavier. Many people have lost their income and are in desperate situations. Now, more than ever, people need to hear the good news of the gospel.

Thank you so much and may God richly bless you!

Our love,

Kudzai and Liz Mundora
