Life on the street in Macedonia for dogs is like Russian Roulette.
Danger, abuse and hatred waits for you.
Sukie was abandoned or born on a the street - no one cared.
A tiny dot in busy traffic, terrified and broken.
Luckily for her Viktor found her.
Unluckily for her, an accident had already happened - terrified, alone, her little body traffic damaged.
Fixed up as best she could be, her adoption fell through at 6 months old.
Her place was booked, we had a choice ...
1 Leave her there in a kennel in hot summers and icy cold winters?
2 OR make a difference and bring her to foster - making sure we had her checked by a vet here?
We chose option 2 .... Kelly welcomed her into her foster care.
3 months later when she was settled and feeling safe, she went for a check up and X-rays.
What we saw next, shocked us all to the core. We read the vets report in disbelief - it was bad reading - the X-rays were so much worse than when she was smaller.
Amongst other things her thigh ball sits above the socket on the damaged hip.
We couldn’t believe that this happy little girl could be in so much pain.
It’s all she’s ever known.... she knows no different.
Again we have 2 choices - Do all that we can to fix her or sadly consider euthanasia. If the money cannot be raised Sukie will suffer too much if she is left as she is.
Her promise of a Best Life was made by Viktor, the day he found her - for us the only option is option 1.
Sukie needs your help - we don’t have that money sat around.
We need your help - we can’t do it without you. ❤️
Sukie is still a puppy with a full life ahead of her. She desperately needs the full hip replacement to give her the best chance in life. Her foster says "Sukie is a joy to have around. She's a loving and playful pup who enjoys her cuddles, short walks, play times, and of course her treat times.” Sukie is getting great care and support in her foster home
and will continue to have all of her needs met.
In order for Sukie to have the operation, we have had an initial quote of £7,000. As a small rescue organisation, this is a big strain on our limited resources so, we ask for your kind generosity in helping us to help Sukie. We just can’t let her down.
Saving dogs together and saving lives together is team work... Together we can make magic happen; helping this
pup to live a happy life and increase her chances of finding a wonderful forever home.
This is our biggest ask to date, - we can’t give up on her... Will you help us?
Please join Sukie's Journey... She needs you ❤
