I understand it’s been a difficult year for a lot of people , but if you could spare a minute to read this, I’d really appreciate it.
Back in October last year, my dearest big sister Cher, was taken in to hospital after feeling unwell for several days. After rapidly deteriorating, she was eventually diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia. She went in to multiple organ failure and at the age of 46, she was given only a 20% chance of survival. She was put in to an induced coma and remained on life support for 3 weeks. Against all odds and being the fighter that we know she is, Cher survived.
She remains in hospital, away from Mark, Georgia, Ryan and the dogs and we are all missing her so much.
Cher has had to undergo extensive surgery; she has lost her spleen, her kidneys have been extremely compromised, her eyesight & hands have been affected and she is in constant pain. The biggest impact took place last week – where the Doctors felt they had no option but to amputate both of her legs, below the knees.
As you can imagine, Cher has a long road ahead, to recovery . What I would like to do, is make that road a little easier and give her something to focus on.
I've decided that when COVID rules relax and hospitality opens back up, I will hold a charity auction evening to raise funds that will go towards any adaptions that Cher might require to the house, potential prosthetic upgrades she may require and maybe even a family holiday for them all to recuperate together.
That’s where you come in!
If you could support in any way, we, as a family, would be eternally grateful. A donation of any size would be amazing.
Thanks for taking the time to read and thank you in advance for your support.
