The 8848 Challenge

We would like to invite you to help us raise funds for those who earn a living working in the mountains of the Developing World. Due to Covid, they have lost their income and need our help.

Sunday 15 November 2020 is our “8848 Challenge” day. Set yourself a challenge (it can be anything) and help raise some money! If you can support us by donating to our campaign, we would be very grateful.
51760238_1602234124886075_r.jpegThe Jagged Globe office team have created their own relay challenge "The Dark Peak 8848 ".

Starting from Sheffield, we’re going to walk/run a route that loosely follows ‘The Dark Peak 15 Trigs’ fell running route to Glossop and back. At 88.48Km in total and with over 3000m of ascent, we expect to take around 15 – 18 hours. With some navigating in the dark and much of the route on very rough and/or boggy terrain, it’s going to be tough!

You can support us by setting your own challenge (running, cycling, walking, swimming, pogo sticking) on 15 November, then encourage your friends/colleagues/family to donate to our campaign. The funds we raise will be distributed to staff who are in most need in some of the countries that we operate (for example,  in Tanzania, Nepal, India, Pakistan.)
