Find Mark Palmer Jr Campaign

£3,250 of £2,500 goal

Raised by 126 people in 23 days
Our brother Mark Palmer has been missing in Spain since 27th April 2019 and have not had any news of his whereabouts. Mark was described as distressed before he was last seen and was expressing suicidal thoughts. There are very few local resources for launching a search, so we as a family are trying to mobilise a small search party. We have so far, got nothing to go on, no leads, no sightings. We are absolutely heartbroken and desperate to find Mark. Please help us to bring him home!

We are hoping to raise funds to put towards accommodation, flights, and supplies for the family and any other volunteers joining the search. Any funds that are leftover would be donated to the Lucie Blackman Trust.

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I posted an update, but today my dad Mark and my uncle Steve have flown out to Spain again today to conduct another search for Mark. A couple of days ago, the British Embassy contacted my dad to say that Spanish Police had requested information from Interpol. This is most likely regarding Mark's mobile phone records. For us of course, this is very frustrating as Mark went missing nearly 4 weeks ago and there still hasn't been any progress with the phone or CCTV.

There's no way my dad would have been able to afford another trip out to Spain if it were not for friends, family and the community. We could not have done anywhere near as much as we already have if it wasn't for all your generosity. I cannot say thank you enough.

Of course, I will update this page and Facebook if we get new information. Thank you all again.

Hi everyone,

There's still no news from the Spanish police on whether they're making progress, especially with the mobile phone information and CCTV. It's really frustrating for us as every time we call them, they say the same thing. We're not even sure what the police are doing to look for Marky and I think we will be calling them on Monday to ask some questions.

Today is three weeks since Mark was last seen and we are no closer to answers and no closer to healing. We as a family are struggling to adjust to this "new normal," we have no appetite, we can't sleep, and the loneliness of the situation creeps in every day. We constantly think about Mark, wishing and longing for his safe return, while also having to accept that that may never happen. It's very difficult to articulate the complexity of emotions we feel and how rapidly they can change. We just want Mark home and waking up to a new day rips our hearts open again.

Thank you all for your kind words, your emotional support, and your generosity. It has humbled us deeply and we cannot thank you all enough!

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, we had news of a possible sighting of Mark on the outskirts of Ontinyent. A tattoo artist knew of Mark and had helped him previously when he'd fallen over, and she had apparently seen Mark on the morning of his disappearance wearing a red jacket close to areas we had searched while we were in Spain. This lady has given a full statement to the Spanish Police but the red jacket is odd as Mark rarely wore anything that would draw attention to himself.

This sighting may or may not be Mark - we are not getting our hopes up too much however as we don't know what, if anything may come of it. If the sighting is Mark then we may need to fly back out to Spain at some point.

Please continue to share, like, comment, and donate to help keep Mark's disappearance in the public eye. Thank you all so very much for all your support. Don't be afraid to approach us or be scared of saying the wrong thing, there is no right or wrong here. There are some places that words don't reach, but they do offer some comfort to us. Thank you all again. Xx

Hi everyone,

We are all back in the UK now and our flight back was dealt with in the most compassionate manner as per the Facebook update posted on Sunday.

Yesterday my dad called the British Embassy in Spain to get an update and there is STILL no news on Mark's whereabouts - we are still waiting for phone records and CCTV and the Lucie Blackman Trust has informed me that it often takes a long time for them to be processed.

I will post another update later today as I am hoping to hear more from the Lucie Blackman Trust and we are hoping to get more publicity via Good Morning Britain and Three Counties Radio. My dad was on the phone to the Dunstable Gazette yesterday as they would like to reprint the story too.

Thank you so much for all your support, well wishes, likes, shares, and donations. Love and gratitude to you all. Xx
