Like many other people I have been accused by the Campaign Against Antisemitism, a far-Right Zionist group of 'antisemitism' despite being Jewish.  My crime is that I support the Palestinians and I am an anti-Zionist.

The CAA specialise in accusing anti-Zionists of 'antisemitism'.  It is time to call a halt.

I initiated a libel action at the High Court in February 2018.  The case is now progressing but I desperately need legal help and advice.  That is why I am appealing to you for donations.  It is not for me but for the cause of the Palestinians.

It is time we put a stop to these false and outrageous accusations of antisemitism.

Thank you.

I'm sorry that this is so long but I want people to have the fullest information.

I thought I should update you about what has been happening in my libel case since February 15th when HHJ Nicklin decided that calling someone a 'notorious antisemite' is a matter of opinion and not fact.

It is a salutary reminded that when we are accused of 'antisemitism' by the Zionists and Israel right-or-wrong supporters that they can't prove it, they have nothing to base it on, it is merely a matter of 'honest opinion' or not as the case may be!

I have submitted, by the end of June a Reply to the Defence which was extremely lengthy

The CAA's solicitors then decided to try and tie me up with a Request for Further Information

and a request for 56 documents, most of which they already have

In return I sent to them a holding reply saying that their requests were unreasonable, tendentious, point scoring etc.

There will no doubt be further interim hearings in the autumn when the Campaign Against Antisemitism's solicitors will try to get a summary judgement since their costs are, I estimate of the order of £80K.

By way of contrast I have spent £19,717 to date:

This includes
Cost of launching original claim £2,400
Engaging new solicitor, preparation for interim hearing and costs of attendance etc. 7,440
Appeal to the Court of Appeal £1,200
Reply to the defence £7,200

there are also associated costs of the crowdfunding sites of £1,100 and I have incurred costs of £366 in travel expenses to file claims, a couple of coffees and refreshments for those attending the interim hearing! Which is quite good for our morale so I think it's a legitimate expense.

So we are being outgunned by about 4-1, which is not surprising since I am a litigant in person.

I am therefore appealing once again for contributions to ensure that I do have access to funds as I don't wish to lose by default.

There are a number of ways to contribute.

i. By contributing via this site but beware there will be a small deduction (about 3%)

ii. By PP to tonygreenstein111@gmail.com but please ensure it is a personal donation to a friend not as a purchase otherwise they will take money - please make it clear what it is for

iii. via BACS to 04094107 09-01-50 acc name BUWC

iv. or please send a cheque made out to BUWC at PO Box 173, Brighton BN51 9EZ

Lotta continua!

Update Libel Action Against Campaign Against Anti-Semitism.

This is the latest update in my libel action against the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism

As you will recall, the CAA called me a ‘notorious anti-Semite’ on 5 different occasions but when it came to the Preliminary Issues Hearing on Meaning on February 14th, they argued that their libels weren’t a statement of fact but opinion! In other words they can’t back up their allegations factually and have to rely on the defence that theirs are ‘honest opinions’ (s.3 of the Defamation Act 2013).

As you may recall at the hearing on 14th February Justice Nicklin, who was in the same chambers as the counsel for the CAA Adam Speker, ruled that calling someone an ‘anti-Semite’ is a matter of opinion. We sought leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal but on 25th March Lady Justice Aplin refused to grant us leave. Her decision can be seen here. https://tinyurl.com/y5rodgyr

We therefore submitted, as per the Order of Nicklin J, amended Particulars of Claim on 3rd April. The Defendant, the CAA have until 10th May to submit a Defence.

However on 24th April, RPC Solicitors, who are acting for CAA sent me a threatening letter. https://tinyurl.com/y6nrokpk warning of a massive costs bill.

If I don’t withdraw the action they will seek summary judgment and costs of over £60,000. After having taken legal advice I am happy to continue the fight because there is an important principle at stake, namely that Zionist organisations cannot go around accusing people of ‘anti-Semitism’ and then if called to account plead ‘sorry guv, it was only an opinion. Of course it’s not based on any facts.’

I therefore sent the CAA a letter rejecting their threats. https://tinyurl.com/yyrwqk25

The fact that CAA are allowed to run an ‘honest opinion’ defence is outrageous but that is what the good Judge Nicklin allowed.

Nonetheless we will be arguing that their Opinion is not honest, that there is no reasonable basis to it and the factual matrix on which they must based such an opinion, which effectively says that I am a holocaust denier is a lie. I am therefore willing to risk a judgment for costs which will be well in excess of £60,000 and take a chance on succeeding.

I am therefore asking you to contribute whatever you can afford to my Libel Appeal Fund in order that I can continue to pursue this case against what is, without doubt, the nastiest of all Zionist organisations in Britain. A veritable libel machine. You can make a donation by one of four different methods:

1. either clicking here https://uk.gofundme.com/saying-no-2-the-antisemitism-libel

3. Or you can make a BACS transfer direct to:BUWC, 40-47-87 04094107 or

4. Send a cheque to me, made out to BUWC at PO Box 173, Brighton BN51 9BE

The last two methods avoid any deductions (approx 5%).

Thank you

On February 15th Judge Nicklin ruled in the High Court that calling someone an 'antisemite' is a matter of opinion not fact. In fact Nicklin chose to ignore the fact that the misnamed 'Campaign Against Antisemitism' called me, 5 times, a 'notorious antisemite'

Calling people 'antisemites' is the go to insult of those who spend their lives defending the world's most racist state. When challenged they are, of course, unable to justify their allegations and instead simply says that it is their opinion!

Last Friday I filed an application to the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal Nicklin's decision. This is costing money as British courts are not cheap. My opponents, the Campaign Against the Truth have access to unlimited finance from the Israeli state. I am dependent on yours and others generosity.

IF you can afford it please consider making a donation. It is not for my benefit but for all those libeled by ZIonists as a means of protecting the world's most racist state.

ALSO - please share this appeal as widely as possible on social media.
