Gateway Science Center!
"The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is NO cure for curiosity."
Entomology, the Gateway Science! Interactive Natural Science Park for kids!
Thank you all for taking the time to review my campaign. This gofundme is for the creation of the Gateway Science Center an Interactive Natural Science Park for kids, with an emphasis on insects. However, as you watch the videos that explain my vision you will realize that there is something much greater going on here. While insects and nature are my methods of choice, my vision is about the future we leave to the next generation. It is also, about leaving the next generation with the tools to make their world an even better place for their children, the tools to make better decisions than we have. That tool is science.
Recent events have made it very clear that that future is under threat. Not since the time of Galileo has there been a greater need to stand up for science, to stand up for that future the next generation deserves. Please join me in the fight for that future! Join me in making the world a better place!
The following are 3 videos I created to let you envision my vision. The first one is short (4min) that is a rapid summary of the other two. The second video is “WHY” I’m doing this and “why” I think this is so important. The third video is the whole concept in most of its details as I see it.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For time and interest in my campaign.
Live long and prosper!
PS. For any donations over $100 you will recieve a one year family pass.
(currently working on other thank you gifts for donors)

IF any of you are inspired by my vision and goal I am open to all the help I can get for this campaign.
Let me begin by telling you all how grateful and humbled I am at your faith in me from the very beginning. While I have not been promoting this campaign much in the last year and a half, I have nonetheless, been busting my butt to make sure that your faith was not misplaced. Almost every day for the last two years I have been up at 4 am to work a couple hours on this before going to my day job for the next 10. In the last two years, I have made some major strides. Progress, that could not have been made without the help from you and my corporate supporters; Discovery World, Wetzel Brothers, Zoo Med Laboratories, Animal House Pets, and American Science and Surplus.
Back in May, Dan Capps donated his half-million-dollar insect collection to the Gateway Science Project. This is an absolutely breathtaking collection and I would argue there is not another one like it in the world. Dan could think of no better way for his collection to be used than to inspire new generations of young scientists.
Currently, we have turned our ideas over to architects to bring the vision of our future building to life. Very excited to see what they create. When this is complete, it is on to fundraising for the final phase, making what was once a vision in my head, to a reality. A reality that will inspire generations of future science-minded individuals.
I have made no announcements as of yet but as of last week The Gateway Science Project, Inc. received its 501c(3) status from the IRS. We are officially a nonprofit entity! So, as a result, I will be closing this gofundme campaign soon. I have kept a list of all your names to keep my promise of family memberships for your $100 donations.
The struggle is not over. We have crested the hill and this has gone from “a neat idea” to “only a matter of time” now. I cannot even describe how it feels to say that, to be riding a wave of momentum that started here, with all of you. Finally knowing that walking around in a constant state of fatigue was not all for nothing.
All future donations are tax-deductible and we will need your support now more than ever as things are happening very fast. If you are able, donations can be made via PayPal (contact me for instructions).
While we are some time away from our permanent center of science, we are continuing our mission with our outreach. Besides our monthly show at Discovery World, we are visiting schools in the Milwaukee/Chicago area. Our immediate goal is to reach 100 schools during 2019. For every $500 dollars raised, we will do one school/library for free. If you donate $500 you can pick the school.
If you’d like to support us in other ways we now have an OUTSTANDING product shop on Shopify. Our new T-shirts, Duvet covers, pillowcases, and hoodies are spectacular! They never fade or shrink. Click here for more info:
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
