In loving memory of Kale Thomas

Kale Thomas was 20 Years old when he tragically took his own life on the 28th December 2018. With permission from Kale's family, this Go Fund Me account has been set up to support the family during their time of need and significant shock.
Kale battled with mental health issues, psychosis. Despite facing these difficult personal challenges, he positively raised awareness of mental health through openly discussing his wellbeing and the challenges he faced. This resulting in a number of local people seeking support for their mental health. Kale also sought to reduce any stigma in place for mental health.
There has been an overwhelming level of support for the family over the last couple of days including messages and Facebook posts. Kale was very well thought of and respected within our town of Amlwch, the village of Penysarn and his colleagues from his time in Newcastle. His passing will leave a huge void in so many lives, especially that of his loving family. Within his tributes, has been described as a lovely, warm, kind and polite young man.
The funds raised can help his family with unexpected costs such as his funeral, living costs and maybe a little break away once they feel ready.
No mother or father should ever be in this position and together, we can help a little by showing our support to this family, who are suffering such a huge loss. As a community (Amlwch, Penysarn and surrounds) we are close knit and always provide support to each other.
